By adding ham and cheese scrambled eggs can become more than just an egg meal. Eggs are already a high protein food source and by adding in ham and cheese the protein content increases. The cheese helps to increase the calcium making this meal perfect for a breakfast or light evening meal. Both protein and calcium are important nutrients across the life cycle, but protein and calcium are especially important for the elderly.
